Stunning images of Great Smoky Mountains of America

In 2014 more than 10 million visited Great Smoky Mountains. Most visitors see the park from a mountain-skimming scenic highway, while many of them hike trails through more than 800 miles across North Carolina and Tennessee.

The park, which covers 800 square miles of mountainous terrain, preserves the world's best examples of deciduous forests and a matchless variety of natural world and animals. Because it contains many types of eastern forest vegetation, the park has been designated an international biosphere reserve.
